About This Festival

The presentations at the Tidal Basin Welcome Area and ANA Performance Stage during the Washington, DC Cherry Blossom Festival celebrate friendship. This theme of friendship is seen in symbolization by the gift of flowering cherry trees from Tokyo to Washington, DC. On these stages, experience and perform in a showcase of American, Japanese, and international performing arts.

The festival stages are situated among the cherry trees. From these stages, enjoy iconic views of the Washington memorials. The Washington, DC Cherry Blossom Festival strives to incorporate artists who perform family-friendly dances and music that is upbeat, festive, and reflective of the celebratory nature of the event.
