Limerick Sings Choral Festival

Day 1: Fly to Ireland

Your Limerick Sings Festival experience begins with an overnight flight from North America to Shannon, Ireland.

Day 2: Welcome to Limerick

Upon arrival in Shannon, your Music Contact International tour manager and private motor coach will greet you at the airport. Together, enjoy a welcome breakfast followed by a visit to Bunratty Folk Park, where 18th-century daily life in Ireland comes to life with authentically reconstructed buildings, streets, and farms.

After your first chance to explore downtown Limerick, check in to your festival accommodations at the University of Limerick Parkland Campus.

This evening, a welcome dinner at a local pub celebrates the start of your tour and exciting days ahead!

Day 3: Welcome to Limerick Sings | Opening Ceremony

The Limerick Sings Festival begins! A continental breakfast will be served on campus each morning.

Today, attend a music workshop led by members of a prominent Irish ensemble. Tonight, attend the festival opening concert, featuring the same ensemble from this morning. Both events will take place at the festival’s main venue, the renowned University Concert Hall.

Later, a buffet dinner will be served to all participating choirs.

Day 4: Outdoor Chorus | Festival Concert Option #1

Join the festival’s conductor-in-residence at University Concert Hall to rehearse for today’s Outdoor Chorus.

Enjoy a beautiful drive to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, where you’ll join all festival voices for the Outdoor Chorus.

A casual dinner will be served to complement your performance schedule. Tonight is the first of two festival concerts from which ensembles can choose to participate: the evening concert at Redemptorist Church in Limerick.

Day 5: Choir Trail Performance | Festival Concert Option #2

Today, each choir performs a community concert as part of the festival Choral Trail. Sing for patients at a local children’s hospital or provide the music for morning service at a local church.

This afternoon is the second of two festival concerts from which ensembles can choose to participate: the afternoon concert at St. John’s Cathedral in Limerick.

For your final evening in Ireland, choirs may wish to dine at the famous Medieval Banquet inside Bunratty Castle (supplemental pricing applies) and end your time in Ireland with a night of merriment!

Day 6: Fly home or extend your stay

Ask us about additional days of touring in Ireland, and when it’s time to go, we’ll send off your choir with memories to last a lifetime!
